What is Outlet Sports & Recreation?

There is a wealth of statistical information that details the physical, mental and social benefits of continued participation in athletics. Given these individual and societal benefits of participation, there is an undeniable need for adults of all physical skills and abilities to become and remain active.

There is an even greater need to educate adults of all ages of this need, with an added emphasis on those from less advantaged socioeconomic backgrounds who often face greater health risks due to lack of health awareness and information.

Outlet Sports & Recreation seeks to help change this at the grassroots level by giving adults of all backgrounds an outlet to use sports to their advantage.

 

Providing opportunities for career development and training, high school and college students provide administrative support in the form of clock operation, score keeping, game management, photography, marketing and media. This is done in collaboration with the 360° Skills Academy.

The Game Changers League is a recreational league open to adults who work in youth development professions. The league is comprised of teachers, coaches, after-school program providers, mentors, administrators, directors, community leaders and other individuals leading the charge to change the game for New York City youth.

 

All Ball Federation

The All Ball Federation (ABF) includes all of Outlet Sports & Recreation’s leagues, tournaments and special events for adult women.  

 

Through the All Ball Federation, Outlet Rec encourages healthy and active lifestyles among women and young adults by giving them opportunities to showcase their talents in safe, competitive, organized settings while providing low cost to free sports entertainment in local communities throughout the New York area.

While there are many great tournaments and leagues across the country, rarely are spectators, participants and other interested parties able to find comprehensive information on these events in any way other than word of mouth. At Outlet Rec, we use technology to our advantage to provide visitors of our site with highlights, complete statistical information, standings, schedules, game recaps and results.
